THANKSGIVING FEAST

Our non-traditional feast was shared by both Pilgrims and Native Americans.
We made sub sandwiches and had a variety of chips.
Dessert was our own pumpkin pudding that we made ourselves!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends!

GINGERBREAD MAN

Our Gingerbread Men are ready to RUN, RUN, RUN across Kansas!  Mrs. Carpenter helped us prepare them for their journey.  We will await their return!  :-)

Off the the Eureka Post Office to mail our Gingerbread Man letters!

Next, we had a tour of the backroom of the post office.  Miss Barb answered all of our  many questions about delivering the mail!

Back to school where we began. . .
Hope to see you again little Gingerbread Man!

PUMPKIN INVESTIGATION

We were given a HUGE pumpkin that we used for our PUMPKIN INVESTIGATION flip books.
We weighed and measured it.

Next, we cut the top off and took a look inside . . .  and scooped out the seeds and stringy stuff!

Last, we tasted the raw pumpkin pulp!   "Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" shows whether we liked it!

Now, we will see what changes happen inside . . .

Mrs. Countryman brought the icecream, soda, and syrups and we celebrated!
PLEASE keep saving those receipts for us!  :-)

Excitement mounted as we got into our costumes for the BIG Marshall Halloween Parade!  We walked over to the EHS track and found lots of parents and community members waiting to see US!

Then back to Marshall for lots of Sweet Treats!  Yum!  :-)

 We played BINGO  . . .

. . . and pin the NOSE on the pumpkin!

Happy Smiles from ALL!  What a fun afternoon!
See you in November!
