OUR 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL!

The 100th Day of School was filled with many fun activities!
Some came wearing special clothes to celebrate the day!

We had fun counting, eating, and stringing 100 Fruit Loops to make our 100th Day necklaces!

Next, we shared our 100th Day projects with the other first grade classes.
We had some very creative projects!

We worked on our 100th Day books!

Our day concluded with a hunt for 100th Hershey's Kisses that were hidden around the room!  They were numbered on the bottom and we filled the 100's board with our rewards!  The different kinds formed a pattern and . . . the LAST Kiss to be found was #100!!!   THAT was quite a coincidence!

HAPPY 100th DAY everyone!  We are 100 days smarter!  :-)

The BUG LADY Visits!

The Bug Lady had a wonderful presentation of unusual critters last Thursday!  We were given a chance to not only look at them, but to also touch/feel most of them!  Listed below are the various animals/critters that she shared:  Tarantula, Scorpion, Madascar Cockroaches, Bearded Dragon Lizard, Cockatiel, Hairless Rat, Hedgehog, Black Lion Rabbit, Corn Snake, Bullfrog, and Mealy Worms.  Look carefully at the expressions on some of the children's faces!  Priceless!

The children loved when a mom volunteered to reach into the BUG LADY'S apron pocket!
She was in for a REAL surprise!

What an amazing afternoon!

The HARLEM AMBASSADORS

We had a super assembly presented by four of the Harlem Ambassadors.  They shared special inspirational messages and showed us some really cool basketball moves!
